Artist of the Week : Collioure (JP)

whose work is based in Tokyo. He became active as Collioure in 2003, released his first album "Colors of the Spirit" on his own label, kuh recording, releasing his second album "Truth with Elegance" in 2007, released "Beautiful Things" as Nakamura Takahiro in 2008, and released his third album "Timeless Pulse" in 2010. Each of his works has been critically well-received both in Japan and abroad. In 2011, he abruptly caught the notice of the chill out scene when one of his compositions was included in a compilation album by German chill out label IdealMusik. In 2012, he released a Collioure best-of album under Diventa Music, another German chill out and lounge label. The album reverberated, mainly in Europe, and tracks from the album were licensed for mix CDs and compilations around the world, with the number currently at more than 50 and still rising. Since 2010, he has been working actively as a remixer, and so far has been flooded with offers from labels and artists from France, Italy, Spain, Russia, Ukraine, and more. Word of his skills and his name recognition have been spreading steadily, both at home and abroad. In 2012, he also established the new label REIMEI MUSIC to expand worldwide as a new base for his own activities. The labels first offering is his own single, "The Beginning", which hit number one in the weekly chart of Sweden's Tunnel FM. Since then, he has worked to collaborate actively with artist and producers around the world, and has released the works created by these talented artists.
